  1. Cut the chicken into smaller pieces and place them in a large bowl. Brush them with lemon juice and enough salt. Leave to marinate for 10 minutes in the refrigerator. Meanwhile, prepare the marinade. Place the garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, garam masala, chilli and yogurt in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  2. Add this mixed paste to the bowl with the chicken. Add the oil and mix well. Leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight if possible. Once you have the meat ready, heat up the pan. Allow the meat to absorb and fry lightly so that it is not raw. Then you can put it aside.
  3. Next, heat the oil in the pan. Fry the finely chopped onion until golden brown. Add grated ginger. Fry until fragrant. Then add ground turmeric, ground coriander, paprika and chilli. Saute for a minute. Add the tomato puree and let it fry for a while.
  4. Next come the tomatoes, saute them and then bring the mixture to a boil. Let it bubble for about 2-3 minutes. Then add lemon juice and whipping cream. Add enough water to make a thick sauce. Season with salt.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more water if necessary.
  6. Sprinkle the garam masala and coriander leaves and mix. Then mix in the prepared chicken pieces and let it warm up.
  7. Decorate with additional fresh cilantro leaves if desired. Serve with naan or rice.
