Christmas soft rounds glued with marmalade

This Christmas cookie is much softer than the classic butter dough. Cornstarch is also added to the flour, which gives the dough perfect softness, and at the same time, custard powder is also added, which also softens the dough.

Preparation steps
  1. Process a dough from all the ingredients (only use a little lemon zest - not the whole lemon) into the form of a ball, which you wrap in food foil and put in the fridge for 1 day.
  2. Then roll out the dough and cut out ovals, which you place on a baking sheet lined with paper and bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 355 °F / 180 °C. It takes about 6 minutes - keep watching it. Do not bake for too long so that the ovals do not become very dry.
  3. Stick them with marmalade and decorate with chocolate and nuts.
  4. Stick the nuts on the top by spreading the surface with marmalade or compote juice and wrap the nuts in it firstly.
