Delicious donuts baked in the oven with the secret of the perfect dough. They are not fried in oil and you can prepare a larger quantity at once.

I love donuts, but frying them in oil often puts me off. So much wasted oil! That's why I came up with this recipe for preparing donuts in the oven, so that the children can eat them without getting oil on their hands. Definitely give them a chance!

Ingredients
4 ¼ cups
flour
1 ½ tsp
instant dry yeast
1-1 ¼ cups
milk
⅓ cup
granulated sugar
a bit
rum
2 pcs
egg yolk
1.5 oz
melted butter
½ tsp
salt

Preparation steps

  1. Make a leaven from a little milk, sugar and yeast.
  2. Mix flour, salt, sugar, egg yolks, butter, milk and leaven in a bowl and make a dough that you leave to rise for about an hour.
  3. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 3/4 - 1 inch.
  4. Using a suitable mug or mold, cut out donuts from the dough and place them on a greased and floured baking sheet.
  5. Leave to rise for 15 minutes and bake at 375 °F / 190 °C for about 20 minutes.
  6. After baking, wash with melted butter and, if desired, dip in chocolate or drizzle with melted chocolate. Alternatively, serve with jam and sugar, each according to taste.
