Ingredients

Dough:

4 ¼ cups
plain flour
8 oz
butter
¼ cup
granulated sugar
8 oz
sour cream
2 ½ tsp
baking powder
1 pc
egg

Filling:

8 oz
ground walnuts
1 cup
granulated sugar
1 pack
vanilla sugar
to taste
cinnamon
2-3 tbsp
milk
1 pc
egg white
1 pc
egg yolk for wash
Preparation steps
Print
  1. Sift flour and mix with baking powder.
  2. Grate butter into the mixture and mix with sugar, cream and egg. Make a non-sticky dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. While the dough is in the refrigerator, prepare the filling from nuts, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg white, cinnamon and add 2-3 tablespoons of milk to soften it.
  4. Roll out the dough, spread it with the filling, roll it up, cut it into 2-3 in' rolls, put them on a greased and floured baking sheet and wash each piece with egg yolk.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 355 °F / 180 °C.
