  1. First of all, cook the rice, then let it cool down.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground meat, rice, eggs, flour, salt and pepper. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and place in the fridge for half an hour.
  3. Form balls from the meat mixture - you can prevent the meat from sticking to your hands by dipping your hands in lukewarm water.
  4. Peel the onion and cut it into quarters. Place in a saucepan, cover with water (about half a gallon), add cloves and salt and bring to a boil.
  5. Then add the tomato puree to the boiling mixture and mix thoroughly.
  6. Place the meatballs in the pot with the sauce and cook for about 25 minutes.
  7. To prevent the meatballs from falling apart, lower the heat so that the sauce bubbles just slightly.
  8. Once the balls are ready, remove them from the pot. Thicken the sauce with the flour mixture.
  9. At the end, add milk, season with sugar or salt and let the sauce cook for a few minutes.
  10. Drain the sauce and you can serve.

Tips for improving the sauce:

This sauce recipe is characterized by its sweetness, you can also flavor it with cinnamon. If you do not prefer the sweet taste of the sauce, exclude the sugar and cloves from the recipe.

To make the meatballs juicy, choose meat with more fat and always combine it half and half - pork and beef - for a better and more significant taste.

To prevent the meatballs from falling apart and to make them easier to work with, you can add a little breadcrumbs to the recipe.

If the sauce is still thin, simply add more flour to thicken it - this can happen after adding the milk.

We hope you will like the recipe. Enjoy your meal.
