Bacon cheese puffs

I have never had a better yeast dough in my hands, it is great to work with and it literally rises under your hands. The puffs didn't even have time to cool down and were gone.



4 cups
2 pcs
¾ cup
1 tsp
1 cup
1.5 oz
dry yeast
1 tsp

Extra ingredients:

7 oz
English bacon
3.5 oz
dried ham
5.3 oz
hard cheese (I used cheddar)
Preparation steps
  1. Crumble the yeast into the lukewarm milk, add sugar and a little flour, mix lightly and let the yeast rise. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix a smooth dough, sprinkle with flour and leave to rise for about 1 hour.
  2. Divide the risen dough into 10 parts. Then divide each part into 3 parts. Roll each part into narrow rolls, cover them with a strip of bacon and weave them into a puff.
  3. Put the puffs on a baking sheet, sprinkle with diced ham, grated cheese and leave to rise for another 10 minutes.
  4. Bake in an oven heated to 390 °F / 200 °C until golden.
