Banana cake with custard cream

My husband liked this fantastic custard cream from the first bite. He can't even imagine to have any another dessert or cake for his birthday. So I baked it for him.



4 pcs
4 tbsp
granulated sugar
4 tbsp
ground walnuts
2 tbsp
2 tbsp
1 ¼ tsp
baking powder


4.5 oz
1 cup
1 pack
vanilla pudding
2 tbsp
granulated sugar
8 oz

Extra ingredients:

chocolate topping
for sprinkling
Preparation steps
  1. Beat the eggs with granulated sugar into foam. I don't beat the egg whites and yolks separately, but whole eggs with sugar all at once. It takes a little longer, but that's okay. I have a blender that doesn't need to be held :D
  2. After beating the eggs, just use a wooden spoon to mix in the prepared mixture of nuts, flour, cocoa and baking powder.
  3. Prepare a round baking dish, line the bottom with baking paper and layer the dough. Smooth it well and bake in a preheated oven. Bake at 355 °F / 180 °C for about 25-30 minutes.
  4. Cook the vanilla pudding as per instructions, then leave to cool. After it has cooled, beat the pudding with butter and mascarpone.
  5. Let the dough cool down after baking, spread it with a little bit of cream, place bananas cut in half, which you can sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from browning, and layer the remaining cream.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate glaze over the top and decorate the top with ground nuts.
