Ingredients:

¾ tsp
instant dry yeast
1 ¼ cups
lukewarm milk
4 ¼ cups
flour
1 tsp
granulated sugar
½ cup
oil
1 pc
egg
salt

For the filling:

8 oz
butter at room temperature
1 handful
fresh parsley
3 oz
smoked grated cheese (cheese can also be unsmoked, according to taste)

For spreading:

1 pc
beaten egg

For sprinkling:

sesame seeds

  1. Add the instant dry yeast into a little lukewarm milk and add a teaspoon of sugar. Then let the yeast rise. Sift the flour into a large bowl, add a little salt, oil and the risen yeast. Knead the dough properly from the mixture. Add the rest of the lukewarm milk little by little and then make a soft dough.
  2. Shape the dough into a loaf, lightly dust it with flour and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Leave to rise for about 45-60 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, start preparing the filling. Lightly beat the butter, which must be at room temperature, and add the chopped parsley. Mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Roll out the risen dough on a floured rolling pin, the thickness of the dough should be about quarter of inch. Spread carefully with beaten butter with wild garlic on the sheet of rolled dough and then sprinkle with grated cheese. Roll the dough with the mixture. Cut the prepared strudel into triangles, or into rounds.
  5. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, wash each piece with beaten egg and lightly sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven at 390 °F / 200 °C for 15-20 minutes until golden. Enjoy your meal!
