You will need well-chilled water, so you can prepare 1/2 cup and put it in the fridge for at least an hour. Then put sugar and coffee in a bowl and cover them with water from the refrigerator.
Prepare a mixer with classic whisks and start whipping.
Whip until you get a stiff foam that holds its shape.
Fill glasses or serve with a piece of pound cake, or as a decoration for another dessert.
