Excellent sourdough, which is like a spider's web after baking. It is easy to work with, it doesn't stick at all and it doesn't tear at all when twisted into a twister shape. You can fill it with anything, for example ham, olives, mushrooms, corn, or you can use fresh peppers or capsicum. I used cheddar cheese, which is aromatic, but you can easily choose any other hard cheese.

  1. Make a ball shape from all the ingredients as you prepared the dough, which you leave to rise under a cotton towel for about 40 minutes. After the dough has risen, transfer it to the work surface and divide it in half.
  2. Roll out each part into a rectangle.
  3. Spread one with tomato paste, sprinkle with pepper, spices, layer on grated cheese, chopped parsley and salami cut into smaller pieces, or arrange other ingredients according to your own taste.
  4. Cover the ingredients (filling) with the second rolled out dough and press the dough with your hands over the entire surface.
  5. Cut the dough in half with a pizza cutter wheel and cut into about 3/4-1 inch wide strips. Wash them with melted butter.
  6. Twist each piece into a twister shape, place it on a paper-lined baking sheet, where you let it rise for about 10 minutes. Before baking, wash the top with a beaten egg yolk to which you have added a spoonful of milk. You can also sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Then put them in a preheated oven and bake at a temperature of 355 °F / 180 °C for about 20 minutes - keep an eye on them.
