Delicious coconut slices with chocolate

Shredded coconut is a popular ingredient in desserts. This version of the coconut dessert is irresistible! I made this cake for a party where it was a big hit, so I made it again the next day after the party. Let me tell you, coconut cakes are the best, I marked this one in my recipe book in capital letters so I don't forget about it.

Ingredients

Dough:

2 ½ cups
flour
2 tsp
cocoa
2 ½ tsp
baking powder
4.5 oz
butter

powdered sugar
1 pc

sour cream
1 tbsp
butter
1 tbsp
flour

Coconut layer:

6 pcs
egg white
1 ¼ cups
powdered sugar
9 oz
shredded coconut

Cream:

6 pcs
egg yolk
3 tbsp
flour
1 ¼ cups
milk
5.5 oz
butter
1 ¼ cups
powdered sugar
1 pack
vanilla sugar

Extra ingredients:

3.5 oz
dark chocolate
2 tbsp
sunflower oil
1.5 oz
shredded coconut
Preparation steps
Print
  1. Preheat the oven to 355 °F / 180 °C and prepare an approx. 13.5 x 13.5 in' baking sheet. Line it with baking paper.
  2. Mix the flour with baking powder, sugar and cocoa. Gradually add eggs and soft butter, sour cream and process the dough. Divide it into 2 parts and put it in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  3. Beat the egg whites together with the sugar until thick and carefully stir in the shredded coconut.
  4. Roll out the dough to the desired size of the baking sheet. Grease the baking sheet with butter and sprinkle it with flour, place one sheet of dough, layer the egg white filling and cover with the second sheet of dough.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Leave the baked cake to cool.
  6. Mix the egg yolks together with half the sugar, add milk and half the flour. Mix well and put on the stove. Cook while stirring constantly - gradually add the rest of the flour. Leave to cool.
  7. Beat the other half of the sugar together with the butter and vanilla sugar until foamy. Gradually add the cooled cream from the yolks. Layer on the baked and cooled cake.
  8. Melt the chocolate together with the sunflower oil in a water bath and pour it over the layered cream. Sprinkle with coconut and let it harden. Cut with a hot knife and serve. Enjoy!
