Fried stuffed ham rolls

You certainly know the excellent appetizer that is served at celebrations or weddings - ham stuffed with horseradish. This time we will replace the horseradish with sour cream stuffing, fry it in hot oil and the tasty appetizer will be ready. Add a piece of crusty bread or a light vegetable salad. Well, I can also imagine it as a main dish with mashed potatoes or a classic potato salad.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

20 slices
ham
2 oz
butter
2 tbsp
flour
8 oz
sour cream
3.5 oz
grated hard cheese
2 pcs
egg
8 oz
breadcrumbs
frying oil
salt

  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan, add the sour cream and stir until smooth with salt, flour and grated hard cheese. Bring to a boil over low heat and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. Remove the thick mass from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. Fill each slice of ham with the prepared stuffing and coat it in egg and then in breadcrumbs. You can wrap it multiple times to make the rolls more crispy. However, you may want to make sure that the ham is well sealed around the edges (or thoroughly coated in egg and breadcrumbs) so that it does not open during frying and the stuffing does not leak out. Put the wrapped rolls in the fridge for an hour.
  3. Fry in well-heated oil until golden. Place on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil.
