Grandma's perfect cream pie that is incredibly simple

A simple recipe that even beginners in baking can prepare. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't like over sweetened desserts, after which they have to drink a glass of water to let the sweet taste go away from their mouth :) Of course, those who like it sweeter can add more sugar, but I don't recommend it. Amounts that are written in the recipe are absolutely great. It is true that grandmothers were great bakers and cooks. This is an old and traditional recipe, so save it to keep it alive for decades to come.

For the dough:

3 ⅓ cups
plain flour

  1. Sift the plain flour into a bowl, add cubed butter at room temperature, add powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, an egg and process the dough into a smooth ball. If necessary, add 2-3 tablespoons of milk. It depends on the size of the egg and how stiff the dough is after processing it. It should roll nicely, it shouldn't tear.
  2. Wrap the processed dough in food foil and put it in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  3. Cook a thick pudding from milk, sugar and pudding powder, which you cover with food foil and set aside to cool. After cooling, add sour cream and juice (and zest for taste) from one lemon.
  4. Take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide it in half. Roll out one half to the size of a baking sheet (approx. 8x12 inches), transfer to a greased and floured baking sheet and spread the cream evenly. Cover it with the other half of the dough and bake in a preheated oven.
  5. Bake at 355 °F / 180 °C for about half an hour, but keep an eye on it.
  6. Let it cool and sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
