Grandmother's apple pie

A traditional apple pie that cannot be missing on any table in every household in autumn. Soft dough made of butter. This is the way you prepare an amazing cake that everyone will surely like.



3 ⅓ cups
8 oz
1 ¼ cups
powdered sugar
1 ¼ tsp
baking powder
2 pcs
2 tbsp
milk (if necessary)


approx. 3 lbs
⅓ cup
cinnamon sugar
1 pack
vanilla sugar
to taste
granulated sugar
as needed
plain breadcrumbs
Preparation steps
  1. Process everything together and make the dough and leave it for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  2. Divide the dough in half. Roll out the first half and put it on a greased and floured baking sheet of approx. 10x14 in'.
  3. Sprinkle the dough with breadcrumbs and put grated apples mixed with cinnamon, vanilla and granulated suger on top of it.
  4. Roll out the other half of the dough and put it on top of the apples.
  5. Pierce with a fork a bit and bake at 355 °F / 180 °C.
