Homemade apple carrot juice

Homemade apple carrot juice. Excellent and refreshing. You can add less sugar, it depends on the taste of each of us.

2 lbs
apple
1 lb
carrot
3 cups
crystal sugar
2 ⅔ tbsp
citric acid
1.5 gal
water

  1. Put diced apples and 4 cups of water to boil in a pot. Grate the carrots in the second bowl, add about 2 cups of water (add enough water to cover the carrot) and let it cook on a low heat until the carrots soften. Keep watching the carrots and when the water evaporates, add more.
  2. When the apples and carrots are soft, blend them into a puree using a food processor. Mix the mixed ingredients together, put them in a large pot, add sugar, citric acid and cover with water (18 cups). Cook everything together for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    You will get approx. 1.5 gallons of juice from the given dose.
  3. If you want your juice to last as long as possible, here's how to store it:

    Preheat the oven to 180 °F/ 80 °C and place a pan with water in the bottom part. Pour the juice into the prepared bottles, leave about 1 inch of free space from the top and close the bottles thoroughly. Put them in the baking dish, leave them in the oven for 15 minutes and take them out. Turn the bottles upside down and let them stand for about 15 minutes. Then turn the bottles over and put them in a dark, cool room.
