lemon zest

vanilla essence

milk

lemon juice

Glaze:

1 cup

powdered sugar

1 pc

lemon juice

Cooking time

Mix butter and powdered sugar until foamy. Gradually add the lemon zest and one egg at a time. After each added egg, thoroughly beat the mixture.
Add milk, vanilla essence and lemon juice.
At the end, add a loose mixture - flour mixed with salt and baking powder.
You will get a thicker dough, which you will layer into a pound cake mold, which you have greased with butter and sprinkled with flour.
Bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 340 °F / 170 °C for about 40 minutes - keep an eye on it.
After baking, let the pound cake cool in the mold.
Turn the pound cake upside down and cover with the glaze - mix powdered sugar with lemon juice. The thicker the frosting, the better it will stick to the pound cake.
