Lattice apple cake with mascarpone - photo instructions

In the original recipe, the top dough was shaped into a grid. I somehow didn't feel like shaping it that way, so I have the top layer as a whole, but it didn't take away its taste :)

Ingredients

Dough:

4 cups
semi-coarse flour
1 ⅔ cups
powdered sugar
8 oz
margarine
2 pcs
egg
0.5 oz
baking powder

Filling:

16 oz
mascarpone
8 oz
sour cream
1 pack
vanilla sugar
4 tbsp
powdered sugar
6 pcs
apple
1 pack
vanilla sugar
1 ½ tbsp
cinnamon sugar
Preparation steps
Print
  1. Mix the ingredients for the dough in a bowl and make a smooth dough. Divide in half.
  2. Using a rolling pin, place the rolled sheet of dough onto a greased and floured baking sheet. Have the edges slightly higher.
  3. Mix mascarpone with vanilla and powdered sugar into a smooth mass, add the sour cream and mix again.
  4. Peel, grate and sweeten the apples with sugar. Those who like it sweeter can easily add more sugar.
  5. Then layer the fillings. Apply alternately with apples.
  6. Cover the top of the cake again with a second sheet of dough or make grids. Pierce with a fork and bake in a preheated oven at 355 °F / 180 °C for about 35 minutes.
  7. After baking, sprinkle the top with powdered sugar and serve.
