Wash the potatoes and cut them in half.
Prepare a baking sheet into which you will pour the melted butter. Layer grated cheese on the butter, sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper.
Place the potatoes cut side down and bake. Bake in a preheated oven at 390 °F / 200 °C for about 30 minutes. It depends on the size of the potatoes.
After baking, let it stand for 5 minutes and serve. If you would like to remove the potatoes immediately, it may happen that the cheese layer remains on the baking sheet.
