Red lentil soup

A simple and very tasty red lentil soup. Some people only prepare canapes, sandwiches, and salads on New Year's Eve, but I also cook a classic lunch at home and it's usually lentil soup. We probably got so used to this soup at home during New Year's Eve that it became a New Year's Eve tradition. And, of course, cabbage soup must not be missing.

Ingredients
7 oz
red lentils
1 pc
carrot
½ pc
onion
1 ½ pcs
sausage
to taste
salt
to taste
pepper
to taste
marjoram
3-5 cloves
garlic
approx. 5 ⅔ cups
water
Preparation steps
Print
  1. First, cut the sausages and onion, and coarsely grate the carrot.
  2. Melt the butter in a pot, then saute the onion and fry the sausage pieces and carrots.
  3. Pour water into the pot and add the red lentils.
  4. Cook for about 20 minutes, then add salt, pepper, marjoram - rub it between your fingers (to make it fragrant) and garlic.
