The easiest punch cake

Punch cakes are very tasty and I prepare them very often at home. This recipe is also suitable for housewives - beginners as it is quick and quite simple.

1 cup
crystal sugar
8 oz
8 oz
whipping cream
0.5 oz
baking powder
2 ½ cups
semi-coarse flour
as a spread
food coloring
red color
1 ½ cups
raspberry syrup
rum or punch aroma


¾ cup
powdered sugar
1 tbsp
hot water
1 tbsp
lemon juice
Preparation steps
  1. 1.
    Beat the eggs with sugar until foamy, add melted butter, whipping cream and flour mixed with baking powder. Divide into 2 parts, color the second part with the food coloring.
  2. 2.
    Place a baking paper to the bottom of a baking sheet and spread the white dough. Layer the pink dough on top of the white dough, smooth it out nicely and bake it in a pre-heated oven at 355 °F / 180 °C until golden.

    Pour the punch (water + syrup + rum or aroma) over the baked dough.
  4. 4.
    Pour the glaze on the top, sprinkle with chocolate. I cut the cake in half and put it together with jam.
  5. 5.
    3/4 cup of powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of hot water, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice - mix water and juice and gradually add sugar. Mix into a smooth glaze, pour over the cake and let it harden.
