Soft vanilla cookies glued with marmalade. Everyone loves them in our house. They melt beautifully on the tongue and are the first to disappear from the cookie box. Last year I made them well in advance and there really wasn't a single piece left for Christmas, so this year I'll probably make a double batch to have some in stock.

Soft vanilla cookies glued with marmalade. Everyone loves them in our house. They melt beautifully on the tongue and are the first to disappear from the cookie box. Last year I made them well in advance and there really wasn't a single piece left for Christmas, so this year I'll probably make a double batch to have some in stock.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

16 oz
butter
2 cups
powdered sugar
1 pc
lemon
2 packs
vanilla sugar
3.5 oz
ground walnuts
approx. 2 lbs
plain flour
for coating
powdered sugar
for gluing
marmalade
Preparation steps

  1. Beat the butter and sugar into a foam, add the grated lemon zest and the juice from one lemon. Mix the nuts and vanilla sugar and add them to the butter with sugar and lemon.
  2. Finally, gradually add sifted flour and process the dough, which you\ roll out into a thicker sheet and use a round mold to cut circles.
  3. Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at a temperature of 355 °F / 180 °C for about 5-10 minutes. It depends on the thickness and size of the individual cookies.
  4. Glue the baked rounds with marmalade and roll them in powdered sugar.
