Introductory provisions
This policy of use (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") defines and specifies the conditions of use of all functional components of the web interface operated by the operator and located at the internet address thebesttastes.com (hereinafter referred to as the "web interface").
A user is considered any person who uses the functions of the web interface, primarily by placing instructions for preparing meals (hereinafter referred to as "recipe") or pictures of food on the web interface. The condition for using the web interface is registration through the web form published on the web interface. By registering, the user confirms that he has familiarized himself with these policies and agrees with them.
A visitor is considered any person who visits the web interface, regardless of whether they use a web form or not. The user is therefore always a visitor, too. By entering the web interface, the visitor confirms that he has read these policies and that he will follow them.
By agreeing to these Principles, the user declares and guarantees to the operator that:
is fully autonomous, especially with regard to his age, or is represented by a legal representative/guardian;
all data provided to the operator through the web form are true, complete, accurate and correct;
has thoroughly familiarized himself with these policies before starting to use the web interface, that he fully understands and agrees with these Principles;
will not use the web interface in any way or for any purpose that would be contrary to these principles, valid legal regulations or good morals.
The operator provides a web interface exclusively for the free publication of recipes and pictures of meals so that these recipes and pictures of meals are presented to visitors or other users through the web interface.
User account
The condition for setting up a user account is free registration on the web interface. When registering, it is necessary to enter an e-mail and choose a password and a nickname. The entered e-mail will not be shown to the public. We need a real and functional email address to verify that this is a real person registering and to prevent users from creating duplicate accounts.
The user is not authorized to share the data required to access the user account to a third party. The operator bears no responsibility in the event that the user account is misused by a third party.
The operator reserves the right to cancel a user account without prior notice and without compensation:
- which is inactive for more than 1 year, or
- through which there is a violation of these principles, valid legal regulations or good morals.
Furthermore, the operator reserves the right to remove from the web interface any content placed on the web interface by the user at any time and without prior notice to the user.
The user is authorized to place only recipes and pictures of meals on the web interface through his user account under the conditions set out in these policies. The user agrees that the recipes and pictures of the meals will be published on the web interface, without the right to get any paid compensation. The user also agrees that the recipe or pictures of the meals shared by him will be published on the web interface together with the user's nickname.
The user may not place texts and images on the web interface through his user account that:
they are not a recipe or picture of food/meal;
the publication of which would be contrary to these principles, valid legal regulations and good morals, i.e. especially a text or image that can be considered offensive, vulgar, abusive to a race, nation or religion, damaging to a good name, of an erotic or pornographic nature;
to which the user does not have appropriate copyrights or any license allowing him to share those;
serves to promote the business or similar activity of the user or a third party.
Furthermore, the user may not:
use the web interface in violation of these policies;
publish photographs in which the faces of persons are recognizable;
commercially exploit any part of the web interface;
abuse, block, modify or otherwise change any part of the web interface, or just try to disrupt the stability, operation or data of the web interface;
use mechanisms, software or other procedures that could have a negative impact on the operation of the web interface.
The user acknowledges that the user account may not be available continuously, especially with regard to the necessary maintenance of the hardware and software equipment of the operator or a third party.
Privacy
Part of the data entered into the web form may also include personal data according to Slovak Act no. 18/2018 Collection of the protection of personal data, as amended (especially e-mail address).
All data entered into the web form, including personal data, are intended only for communication between the user and the operator, therefore the operator does not communicate this data to any third party. This does not affect the possibility of the operator to share the user's nickname next to the recipe or picture published by the user on the web interface, to which the user agrees.
The user agrees to receive information related to the activities of the operator and business announcements to his e-mail sent by the operator. Both consents can be revoked at any time by sending an e-mail to the operator's contact e-mail.
The user agrees to the processing and collection of personal data that he provided to the operator during registration, until the time of his written notice of disagreement with this processing. The operator can entrust a third party as a processor with the ability of processing of personal data. If the user believes that there has been a violation of the law or the protection of the user's private and personal life during the processing of his personal data, the user notices the provider about his complaints or comments.
The user has the right to access his personal data, the right to correct it, including other legal rights involving this data. The user declares that he is aware that personal data can be removed from the database based on the user's written request. The user's personal data is fully secured against misuse.
Personal data will be processed indefinitely. Personal data will be processed in electronic form in an automated manner or in printed form in a non-automated manner. The user confirms that he has been informed that his personal data was shared voluntarily.
In the event that the user believes that the operator or processor is processing personal data in violation of the protection of the user's private and personal life or in violation of the law, especially if the personal data is inaccurate with regard to the purpose of their processing, he may request the operator or processor for an explanation and to demand that the operator or processor remove the state thus created.
If the user requests information about the processing of his personal data, the operator is obliged to provide him with this information. The operator has the right to demand an adequate reimbursement for the provision of such information, not exceeding the costs necessary to provide the information.
Supervision of personal data protection is carried out by the Office for Personal Data Protection in Slovakia.
Google Analytics and cookies
The web interface uses the Google Analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (Hereinafter referred to as "Google"). The Google Analytics service uses "cookies", which are text files saved on the user's and visitor's computer, enabling analysis of the user's or visitor's use of the web interface.
The information about the use of the site (including the IP address) generated by the cookie will be transferred by Google to and stored on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the use of the web interface and creating reports on its activity, intended for the operator and for the use of the Internet in general. Google may also provide this information to third parties if required by law or if such third parties process this information for Google.
Google will not associate the IP address of the user or visitor with any other data available. The user and visitor of the web interface can refuse the use of cookies by choosing the appropriate settings in the internet browser, but in this case the user or the visitor is aware that it might not be possible to fully use all the functions of the web interface. By using the web interface, the user and visitor consent to the processing of their data by Google, in the manner and for the purposes stated above.
Copyright protection
The content of the operator's website (texts, photos, images, logos and others), including the software of the web interface and these policies, is protected by the copyright of the operator and may be protected by other rights of other persons. The content may not be changed, copied, reproduced, distributed or used by any third party for any purpose by users or visitors without the consent of the operator or copyright holder.
The names and designations of products, goods, services, firms and companies may be registered trademarks of their respective owners.
Other connections related to the use of the web interface
By clicking on some links on the web interface, you may leave the web interface and be redirected to the websites of third parties.
The operator is not responsible for errors arising as a result of interventions by third parties in the web interface or as a result of its use contrary to its purpose. When using the web interface, neither the user nor the visitor may use mechanisms, software, scripts or other procedures that could have a negative impact on its operation, i.e. above all, disrupt the function of the system or place an unreasonable load on the system.
The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the web interface, nor the integrity and security of the web interface. The operator is not responsible for loss caused by accessing and using the web interface, including any loss caused by downloading data published on the web interface, loss caused by interruption of operation, web interface failure, computer viruses, loss due to loss of data, profit, unauthorized access to transmission and visitor data.
If the user or visitor violates the rights of third parties when using the web interface, the operator is not holding any responsibility for this. If any compensation for loss or other damages, etc., will be enforced from the operator, the operator has the right to subsequently enforce this compensation from the user or visitor who committed the violation of the right.
Final provisions
All connections follow these principles and connections not regulated by them follow Slovak Act No. 40/1964 Collection, the Civil Code, in the current version, or other valid legal regulations.
The wording of these principles and policy can be changed or extended by the operator.
In the event of a question regarding these policies, the operator will provide all necessary information without delay.
Any complaints are handled by the operator via e-mail. In relation to the user, the operator is not bound by any codes of conduct, therefore he does not voluntarily comply with any such codes (in accordance with Slovak § 1826, paragraph 1, letter E) of the Civil Code).
