Apple tornado - a fantastic grated apple cake with pudding

I used to combine apple buns or other apple desserts with cottage cheese (or mascarpone) or sour cream, but it's much better with pudding. Be sure to try this perfect apple pie that you will love.

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the dough in a bowl and make a loaf, which you divide into two parts in a ratio of 1:2. Wrap both parts in plastic wrap and put them in the fridge /I recommend putting the smaller part in the freezer, it will be easier to grate it on top of the cake/.
  2. Grate the apples on a coarse grater and put them in a pot, cover them with sugar, cinnamon, and pour lemon juice over them. Simmer for about 15 minutes until they are soft. Pour in the water in which you mixed the starch and cook until it thickens.
  3. Prepare a baking sheet, line the bottom with baking paper and heat the oven to 355 °F / 180 °C. Grate the larger part of the dough evenly on the bottom of the baking sheet. Let it bake for 8 minutes and then let it cool slightly. Then sprinkle the dough with breadcrumbs.
  4. Layer the apples and egg white foam on top of the dough with breadcrumbs - beat the egg whites with sugar to a stiff, shiny foam and finally mix in the pudding powder (at the lowest speed of the mixer).
  5. Grate a small part of the dough onto the foam and continue to bake at 340 °F / 170 °C for about 50 minutes - keep an eye on it.
