Soft and easy strawberry cake

I got another batch of strawberries today, so I had to come up with something sweet. This tasty and soft cake was created, which was ready within half an hour. I often make it at home with various fruits, including cherries, and there are many of them now, so give it a try. I also made it from canned apples, tangerines and apricots. Each one disappeared from the baking sheet as quick as lightning.

egg yolk
1 cup
granulated sugar
1 pack
vanilla sugar
½ cup
½ cup
1 ⅔ cups
2 ½ tsp
baking powder
4 pcs
egg white
fruit - strawberries, cherries, ...
for sprinkling
powdered sugar
Preparation steps
  1. Beat 4 egg yolks with 1 cup of granulated sugar and vanilla sugar until thick.
  2. Add half a cup of oil and half a cup of water and keep whisking, then just mix in 1 and 2/3 cups of flour with baking powder and finally add egg white foam.
  3. Sprinkle with fruit.
  4. Bake at 340 °F / 170 °C until golden. It is better to bake it on a smaller baking sheet or in a baking tray so that it is not too low.
  5. After baking, sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
