The best strawberry cake

This is my children's favorite cake. This was made with the fruit we currently have available and that is strawberries. I've made this cake with store-bought strawberries before, but I like it best with farm-grown, sweet and juicy ones. Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to have farm-grown strawberries, so at least be inspired by the recipe and bake this fruit cake.

Ingredients
to taste
strawberries, banana, tangerines
2 ½ cups
flour
1 ¼ cups
powdered sugar
1 ¼ tsp
baking powder
1 pack
vanilla sugar
10 tbsp
lukewarm milk
10 tbsp
oil
3 pcs
egg
2 tbsp
granulated sugar
1 pc
lemon - zest
Preparation steps
Print
  1. Prepare a baking sheet (approx. 13 x 10 in'), spray oil or other fat, flour for sprinkling the baking sheet, powdered sugar for final finishing.
  2. Beat the egg yolks with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar to a thick foam, add finely grated lemon zest. Mix the flour with baking powder and sift.
  3. Gradually and alternately add oil, milk and flour to the yolk mass. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff, then carefully and lightly mix it into the dough.
  4. Pour the batter into the greased and floured baking sheet and smooth it out with a spatula. Stack the washed, drained and cut strawberries thickly on top of the dough.
  5. Bake in the oven at 355 °F / 180 °C for approx. 20 to 30 minutes - respect your experience with your own oven.
