Fantastic cake, probably our most popular dessert, which I prepare almost every weekend. It is moist and very tasty. I have already prepared it with different pudding flavors. Vanilla, banana, strawberry or raspberry flavor, but the good old classic with vanilla pudding has proven itself the most. I don't sweeten the sour cream that goes on top, but if you prefer sweeter desserts, I recommend adding vanilla sugar.

  1. Beat the egg yolks with sugar, vanilla sugar and lukewarm water until foamy. Then add oil, half of the baking powder and flour. Finally, beat the egg whites into the foam.
  2. Pour half of the dough onto a baking sheet that you have greased and sprinkled with flour. Add cocoa to the second half of the dough and mix. Apply on the light dough and make circles with a skewer.
  3. Spread cooked hot pudding onto the dough spoon by spoon.
  4. Bake at 355 °F / 180 °C for about half an hour. Check regularly whether they are baked with a skewer. Stick it outside the pudding and when it is dry, take out the cake from the oven.
  5. Put 24 oz of sour cream on the hot dough with pudding - I don't sweeten it, you can add vanilla sugar.
  6. Sprinkle the top with cocoa. Let it cool down.
