Recipe Perfect walnut bites. An excellent sour cream dough that is also suitable for Christmas baking.

Soft bites that literally melt on the tongue. The dough is made from sour cream, it does not break at all while baking and it is beautifully elastic. I make small circles that I fill with a nut filling with apples. You should definitely give it a try.

  1. Form all the ingredients for the dough into a small ball and put aside for an hour in the refrigerator.
  2. Grate the apple on a coarse grater, add sugar and cinnamon and saute for a while on a low heat. Add the nuts and mix. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Roll out the dough into a slightly thicker sheet and cut out circles. Place the filling in the center, put the edges together in the middle and connect them with your fingers.
  4. Place on a baking sheet lined with paper and bake in a preheated oven at 340 °F / 170 °C for about 15 minutes. Watch it regularly.
  5. After baking, leave to cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
