Ingredients

Dough:

4.5 oz
butter
1 cup
powdered sugar
½ cup
oil
1 pc
egg
1 pack
vanilla sugar
a pinch
salt
3 cups
plain flour
½ pack
baking powder

Filling:

3 pcs
apple
a pinch
cinnamon
1 tbsp
butter
a bit
lemon zest
for sprinkling
powdered sugar
for wash
egg

  1. Make a uniform ball from the ingredients for the dough, set it aside and prepare the filling.
  2. Grate the apples on a coarse grater, add melted butter, cinnamon and, to taste, you can also add lemon zest. Put it to a saucepan and sauté until the apples are soft.
  3. Roll out the dough, cut it into strips, place the cooled filling in the center of each strip, fold it into a "snake" and cut it into pieces with a knife.
  4. Transfer them to a baking sheet lined with paper, wash with beaten egg and bake at 355 °F / 180 °C for about 20 minutes - check according to your oven.
  5. After baking, spread them with marmalade, which you have mixed with a little bit of hot water and sprinkle the top with powdered sugar.
