Soft sour cream rolls filled with jam

Quick and soft, prepared from sour cream, flour and margarine or butter. You can fill with nuts, jam, ... I was craving something jammy, so I filled these with jam. The dough is very fragile, it reminds me of the dough for carrot mince pies, which I also make at home very often. I filled one half with Nutella as I did not want to have all filled with just a jam :) - to change the taste.



2 lbs
plain flour
16 oz
margarine or butter
14 oz
sour cream
a pinch

Other ingredients:

7 oz
for washing
egg yolk
for sprinkling
powdered sugar
Preparation steps
  1. Process the dough from the ingredients and create a ball shape, which you put in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. It is best to prepare the dough in the evening and bake it the next day.
  2. After it has rested, take the dough out of the refrigerator, divide it into 2 parts and roll it out into a thin sheet, which you will cut into wider strips.
  3. Cut the strips into rectangles and layer jam on one half, wash the other side with egg yolk and fold over. Gently push the edge.
  4. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake at a temperature of 390 °F / 200 °C for about 15 minutes. As soon as they are golden, take them out of the oven. While still warm, sprinkle with icing sugar.
